Apps for good logo3In 2 hours time, 14 teams of school kids will be going for gold, presenting their apps to panels of judges, hoping for a slice of the prize money, as well as support in realising their apps!

There are 14 teams, competing under 7 categories. They have all come through the apps for good training programmeand are trying to solve real life problems with their app ideas.

I am very pleased to be one one of the judging panels, and look forward to hearing the pitches from these young teams

They have made it through a series of dragon’s den type selections during the past 12 months. Thus far over 1,200 students from around 40 schools have been through Apps for Good courses, in 200+ app teams who all had the chance to submit their app ideas.

We are now down to the best 14 finalist teams. The 7 winners will work with professional developers to bring their app completely to life. Prizes will be announced at all-stars ceremony at the Barbican in front of an audience of 250 people, hosted by Tomorrow’s World presenter Maggie Philbin.
